Hi Rob,

I think you are right on target.

Goto scopes make it too easy and you don't learn the way of the sky as from star hoping. Ever since I got a Goto I became lazy and forgot most of what I learned as I found out from trying to find objects when on vacation and using binoculars.

BTW, I'm just a beginner amateur with too many hobbies.
