...I'll spend some time and explain.
The UN is a political body. Its members want to shift the balance of power from America and the west to the third world. Naturally, regulations on the quantity of pollution emission can conveniently act to cap industry and productivity.
The third world doesn't give a good gosh darn about emissions and global warming, the leadership and the UN have one goal with such treaties:
The US companies and signers of Kyoto would build factories in the third world, increasing the third world's wealth - not dropping global emissions one iota.
It's merely a shell game with pollution a game whose goal is solely the distribution of western wealth. The poorest non-signers of the treaty would carry the extra pollution of the nations who signed.
So Kyoto was a crock. All the environmentalist are either uninformed or masquerade behind the pollution issue because they want this distribution of wealth to occur.
Global warming is a mask being used by greedy folks who want to empower themselves and loot the rich.
When one knows the true cause of global warming, the increased output of the sun, one realizes that wasting time with fossil fuel shell games is also counter-productive (aka - a crock.)
'Fairyland' is the world dwelled in by promoters of the Kyoto protocol. It is the same world which believes that getting rid of the world's SUV's will lower global temperatures. That, Bowser, is fairyland.
The only things that will cool the earth over the longterm, ensuring human survival, is either some form of global shielding filtering the sun's rays or a technology which can absorb a portion of the solar energy as it impacts earth and transfers it into space or converts it into mass.
No one's talking about that sort of stuff right now because that doesn't shift the money to the 3rd world or target the rich SUV owners. It doesn't empower a group of folks and control others.
Heat is motion. More motion in the form of higher frequency waves from the sun equals more heat.
Filter the sun's rays or redirect that energy and global warming is no longer a problem. Sustainable climate control needs to be a global goal. Sure one can try to reduce emissions, but seriously that's an unrealistic approach that's not going to having ANY effect on any global warming or reverse any extra input that has already been plugged into the cycling circuit which is earth.
