His hangar is just across from the fuel pumps at my local airport. He actually owns 2 of the 5 Taylor Aerocars ever built (a Model 1 and a Model 2). The Model 1 is a homely little vehicle, but it was built and certified for production. He is working on his own design. He apparently has quite a bit of money, so I suspect his model will fly before NASA's.

NASA has done some great things spurring general aviation technology development, but the things that have actually made it to market are quite expensive. I'll believe their "$100,000 airplane" claim when I see it fly. That applies to the Moller Skycar, too. So far, it just seems to be an enormous vaporware project designed to separate investors from their money. I'll believe it when it flies at Oshkosk, free of the support cables.
