China to build pebble bed reactors?

If this pans out--a big if--it could be the best news for oil supplies, technology advancement, and the environment that I've heard in a long time.

Our own nuclear progress is paralyzed by radical environmentalism. I don't see this changing soon.

Wouldn't it be massively ironic if, in twenty years, our nation and the world was scattered with safe, cheap nuclear reactors labeled "Made in China?"
