I heard the commercial some time last week, probably on the Weather Channel while getting news of Frances (Fox does not watch Fox). The TV is in the same room as my computer, but I have to turn a full 180 to see it. I heard "Freedom Tower" and immediately tuned out the rest of the audio without turning around to see the picture, since I think it's not the most appropriate thing New York could have done and it's a butt-ugly building design.

I tend to tune out anything about 9/11/01 anyway -- whatever the opposite of morbid fascination might be called. This "coin" is a large part of why: it's an appalling commercial exploitation of emotion, and it's not alone, and it's unfortunately not at all surprising.
