Speaking as a life long coin collector: Noncirculating commerative proof coins are bullion coins and nothing more, i.e. they have no intrinsic numismatic value. Ten years from now most of these "freedom tower" coins will be stripped from their holders and tossed into the crucible. These coins have no value other than their silver weight.

More kitsch and tasteless things have been struck as noncirculating commerative proof coins. The Franklin Mint used to crank these coins out by the ton before people stopped buying them.
