Yeah, and Saddam would be running Iraq, Libya would be comfortably going ahead with WMD, and Kahn would be distributing nuke technology around the Middle East.

I would bet even money that Gore would not even have invaded Afghanistan and overthrown the Taliban, but just bombed the hell out of various al Qaeda sites there, declared victory, and gone home. This was the exact approach in Desert Fox and Bosnia.

To simplify all this "what if" speculation, I want the answer to a single question:

If we had only occupied Afghanistan, and had never gone into Iraq, what would Zarqawi, the radicals from Syria and Iran, and all the terror groups currently converging on Iraq be doing right now?
