Oh wait... He's not with CBS!

Seriously though, the US could leave Iraq quickly if the new government is given enough power to crush any insurgencies that threaten it. As time passes and the new government grows sttronger, the US troops really have no reason to be there, and in some ways, they could be seen as only fueling the insurgents who would like to overthrow Iraq's new government.

With that said, I think getting the US completely out of Iraq in 12 months or so might be just a little ambitious. So it is more likely that this is a bogus leak designed to confuse either the Kerry Camp or the Iraqi insurgents, or both.
