He doesn't see his philosophy would have resulted in France under German control far longer and far more jews killed.

I was taught in history class the world would never forget the lesson of appeasing tyrants, but apparently Raoul was never taught that lesson. Don't know if it's not taught in general in Europe or in Raoul's particular educational curriculum.

I can't believe he's trying to make a case that life was wonderful under Saddam. What does he think all the initial cheering in Iraq was for?
