re: Global Warming

"While we can't blame George Bush for global warming, we can certainly note that he and his Republican comrades in Congress have worked tirelessly for the past four years to frustrate international action necessary to slow and possibly reverse this disturbing trend in our planetary climate. The Bush administration has even covered up the science by removing reports on global warming from easy public access."

The US Senate voted 99 votes against this treaty. It isn't just Republicans. It's anyone who has a clue.
Meanwhile, Bush is supportive of government global climate study. Climate study is an important for our nation, once we can get to the point of being able to predict a Hurriance for a week ahead of time, we will also be approaching a point of understanding the factors involved in Global warming and cooling- these long term trends.
Meanwhile the Bush administration is not influencing what other countries choose to do- that is mere fantasy.
If CO2 were really an issue, you and the other tree huggers would support increasing the number of nuclear powerplants in this country- the only known way and current accepted way [other than hydro] that could have a significant affect in reducing human caused CO2 emission.

[Now, opening the space frontier is better solution, but most people haven't realized this yet. ]
