When you dream about him, do you wake up with wet sheets? Sheesh Tom, he's just another human. You have this tendency to put superstar status on individuals like this guy and Bush. Who cares if he debates politics well? Sounds as if the guy does this full time and that generally indicates the person has great resources for research.

My comment was that you throw this guy's name out there like you're quoting Lincoln or Jefferson. It simply will never mean anything to any of the rest of us like it will to you. Hell, what would you say if my post had a heading like "Rather say Bush is a chimp"? or "Michael Moore says the Clinton cigar was really a Tiparillo". Who the hell cares? If you get some entertainment value out of this idiot, all the more power to you but stop getting in such a tizzy if none of the rest of us care.

If Lileks beat me in a political debate I'd still hold my head up high because I know that I've never failed in any task I truly cared enough to take on. My children are happy and well-adjusted and tuned in to more aspects of life than most others I've known. I'm a hugely successful software programmer and have done so with only a high school diploma. I've written hit songs that I've performed in front of thousands of screaming fans. I'm halfway through my first novel. I've built additions onto my house with my bare hands.
