Iran increases missile range
Iran has missiles with a range of 2,000 km, a former president and one of the country's most influential politicians has said.
Hashemi Rafsanjani's comments came in a speech to the Aerospace Research Institute in Tehran, and were reported by the Iranian news agency.
Correspondents say this is a substantial addition to the previously announced range of Iranian missiles.
It would bring Israel easily within range of Iran's ballistic missiles.

So let me get this straight. Saddam had a missile that could travel 129 miles and we go to war. Meanwhile Iran has missiles that will travel 1,200 miles and we are left twiddling our thumbs. Saddam had virtually zero capability to produce nuclear weapons and we go to war. Meanwhile Iran is actively developing weapons grade materials and we're virtually helpless to do anything about it. Anyone else recognize the irony in all of this? Talk about misplaced priorities.
