re: This is the beauty of the Kerry doctrine.

It is so nuanced that it cannot be defined by anyone in advance. Our enemies and allies would constantly not know where we stood on anything. And we could shift our policies on a whim, and then claim that people misunderstood what we originally meant. it can be all things to all people. Thus the Kerry doctrine can really be best defined as: The US can maintain a foreign policy that is whatever the US wants it to be.

Even Kerry doesn't know how right he is with his Kerry doctrine.
