Nowhere in my post did I complain that "I know the solution, but nobody's listening". Nor did I propose any specific solution, yet you wrote a long post arguing that gun control won't solve the problem, and even characterized it as an "extreme solution". Challenging me to singlehandedly come up with the solution shows that you not only didn't understand my post, you're engaged in the very thing I am complaining about.
You're arguing that no solution is possible. If you want to avoid a specific solution like gun control, come up with a better one, don't try to prevent any solution at all. The status quo is untenable and arguing to maintain it is less than worthless.
This morning, the NRA doubled down to argue that the solution to gun violence is more guns, this time in schools. As viciously psychopathically insane as that prescription is, at least the NRA is engaging in discussion. Frankly, Mary Anne, I'd rather argue with Wayne LaPierre than you and Tom.
