Excellent example of a conservative trying to prevent (in this case with specious logic) us from solving the problem. You suggest that in order to address the problem at all, first we must find a magic wand.
Look guys, America is not a place where drug wars are hot and heavy like Columbia or wherever it goes on these days. We don't need to compete with them for highest per capita gun ownership.
America is a really nice place to live. It is possible to have quite a peaceful life here. If you believe Tech's descriptions of Southern California you will be surprised to learn that in my 60 years of life, I've never seen a firearm brandished in anger. The police in my town are efficient and heroic. I am safe (notwithstanding my gun-owning neighbors who are my most direct threat).
