Local wildlife

It's interesting to hear what's out there. Here in central Florida we have alligators, rattlesnakes, water mocassins, bobcats, Florida panthers, black bears, black and brown scorpions, brown recluse and black widow spiders.
I have seen all of those here except for the bobcats and bears, although two black bears were removed close to my workplace these past few months. And there's a 10-12 foot alligator been spotted on the road there as well. I drive slowly leaving work at night, until I'm out of the hollow.

And our bugs, they should count as wild life, they're so big! We have HUGE mosquitoes with striped legs (almost one inch square), and palmetto bugs and cockroaches almost two inches long............and fat.
Older houses with jalhousie windows and unsealed drainpipes get them.
You have to be diligent about your garbage or you'll invite the red fire ants into your home. Florida's a trip, allright.
