Well, nobody outside my house plays crossword hacky.

So on an equal basis I can declare a world series?

If you claim a name, you have to suffer with the hubris for ever.

Most sports settle for a national championship or a trans-Pacific league. To claim "World Series" for a game played in a few US ex-colonies across the Pacific is total hubris, IMHO

(Don't get the Pommies started on their "World Cup" of cricket based on ex colonies such as India, Bangladesh, Kenya, and Australia...)
