"Insurgents" are people who believe their country still belongs to them.

If one stupid Michael Moore-type meme could be sunk permanently, I wouldn't mind if it was the "freedom fighters" bullshit.

Those insurgents who are native Iraq are leftovers from a regime that killed hundreds of thousands of its own citizens, and kept them in bondage. Many of them are Syrians, Iranians, and others imported for the fight.

I realize the overwhelming leftist instinct to immediately side with any entity whatsoever that sets itself in opposition to America, but try to filter it with at least some judgment.

You need to decide if you are contrarian enough to really want people like Zarqawi running Iraq.
