The North and the South rose up against Saddam after GW1. There were several reported coup attempts and many exiles working for Saddam's overthrow. Never asked to be liberated? - It's a joke when democrats talk about Bush lieing these days. At least his errors were based on the available data not turning a blind eye to history.
