Hello Jana,

I hope your grandson found some good science fair ideas. The web is great for that sort of thing. However, I am sure that if a question was posted here asking for really cool science fair ideas the thread would have been lively indeed. Chances are some of these people have judged science fairs (myself included) and we just may have helpful ideas or small experiments we've not gotten 'round to doing.

The HZ is petty? Yup. Intelligent? Mostly. Amusing? Always. I, for one, return to the Habitable Zone 'cause I continue to learn new things here.

A part of understanding of science comes from understanding of scientists. This is actually a good place for that; both the good and the bad. If one is considering a career in the sciences one had better learn to deal with the often eccentric behavior of the breed.

Glad you got a laugh out o' the place, it cracks me up all the time.
