Oh yeah - and Iran must be doing its part to end global warming by developing nuclear electirc power plants

RL, we're going through a solar maxima which will end soon. We've also blown a hole in the ozone with freon.

We have absolutely no plan to end our dependence on oil, we can't even get better milage SUVs through the congress, and all the high mile per gallon vehicles are imports... our auto companies are run by bean counters instead of engineers...

Our nuclear plants are coming to the ends of their useful lives, we have some 900 power plants under construction, all fossil fuel, with another 4,000, all fossil fuel, planned for the near future...

We've lost a large part of our good nuclear electric engineering skills, while France and Japan use nuclear for nearly their entire electric power needs - on the bright side, we have a pack of environmental nuts who drive the cost of nuclear electric plant construction here so high that they have become impossible to build...

Our unwavering tolerance of Israel's expansion into the West Bank has brought us into international isolation, we have 150,000 guys on the ground in Iraq, and one attack on Iran by Israel will probably lead to the governments of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia either stopping relations with us or falling...

There are trillions of dollars out there which were used as the medium for oil transactions, which is no longer the case, and the dollar is dropping like a rock...

We have also had a genius terrorist with a billion dollars in his wallet shopping in the former Soviet Union, and our current President has missed him, darned it...

We have more pressing problems than global warming, and getting hysterical about global warming is not going to make any of them go away...

Might I suggest is that what you're seeing is a displacement activity, where the issue of global warming is raised in response to our inability to talk about what is really wrong?

By the way, if you don't have a solution, then when it comes to freezing in the dark starving, my hope is that you're the one doing it...
