One way missions -- selection criteria
Hmm, even for a one-way trip, I bet you'd have a surplus of volunteers.
It would be interesting to see how that affects the selection process.
Imagine that NASA conducted a poll or asked for nominations among planetary scientists about which of your peers is most qualified for a Mars expedition.
I wonder how the results of that poll would change if NASA made clear that the selected colleagues would be leaving Earth forever.... :)
