My intro to British satire. (Didn't learn about the Goon Squad until much later, in retrospect, after Python reruns became a hit on PBS)
TW3 was on later than I was allowed to stay awake, too... except when my parents paid me to babysit my younger sibs. ;-)
And the only thing I remember, besides a few bars of the theme song, was the orgy of guilt they went through shortly after 11/22/63, apologizing repeatedly for having lampooned JFK...
In later years, I never could take David Frost seriously as a journalist, no matter how hard he tried.
