former Attorney general Ramsey Clark joins the Sadam Hussain defense team

What's this, Bill Clinton not available???

The defense team is probably thinking that Sadam's best defense might be to turn the whole thing into a Democrats vs. Republicans fiasco here in the US in the hopes that that it will undermine the integrity of the Iraqi courts. I'm sure glad I'm not a Democrat: I'd really hate to be forced into defending Sadam because if fits perfectly into my party's short term political interests (ie. the political interests of Bush-hating morons like Ramsey Clark).

This is gonna be the trial of the Century (unless Bin Ladin turns up in a court room defended by some other ACLU/DNC moron.)
