jms, also notice the three small craters just above the 'hook' line. There is a dark feature shaped like a long coma (,) just below the largest of those craters. It looks like runoff material uncovering darker soil below (for the sake of not saying that it looks wet, lol) and definitely not just a shadow.
Vostok looks just slightly larger than the crater Oppy made when it landed. Yes, it looks like a 'filled' crater.
