For many of the war's opponents, particularly the ones who get the most press, this isn't really about Iraq, freedom, terrorism, or anything else like that, and never has been. Once you realize this, the confusion one gets from trying to plug their statements into a paradigm of concern for Iraqis and their well-being largely disappears.
Nothing much has changed since the Vietnam War, including the cast of characters and their motives.
