A fellow got stuck on a dirt road near our house... he decided to hike across our pasture to our house to call for help...

The cattle saw a human in the pasture, this meant 'dinner time' so they trotted towards him... the poor man saw catthe trotting towards him and apparently thought 'stampede!' (How you get a stampede from 6 cows I am not sure)

He ran which probably confused the cows more (cows are always confused)... They sped up, which, in the poor guys mind convinced him they were intent on catching him and killing him...so he ran to the trees and got on a limb...

This undoubtedly confused the cattle more since the whole concept of arboreal feeding was new to them... so they milled around the treed man awaiting the food they expected- it never came... finally it got dark and frustrated, the cows wandered off....

The cold man got out of the tree and made his way to our house where he was able to call for help... resulting in the tale of 'the man eating cows, and how he barely survived' for the man, and the tale of the 'silly city boy' for my family...
