It's quotes like these that are used on both sides for propaganda purposes to very great effect. In fact I think it's quotes like this from the other side which has created the neocon worldview.
If a Muslim was quoted saying the same thing there would be howling to the heavens.
But the damage done by these goofy things is far, far greater than any good that could come from them.
That includes Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib.
