I am serious... what kind of person is that detached from humanity? I am sure there are plenty out there that fit that description.. like those that gave a 'thumbs up' over corpses of dead Iraqis... (smiling for the camera while they did so)...
I can understand feeling some relief after a firefight that the enemy died and you didn't... THAT is human... but to find it fun to kill another human being, well that is less than animal behavior...
I have only talked with veterans of one war- WW2... AND NOT ONE ever took pride (at least in my talking to them) in the enemy they killed- some clearly had killed some of the enemy, but it was not at all a source of pride- much less enjoyment. They felt it was something they HAD to do, but they never felt that it was something they LIKED doing...
I talked to two liberators of nazi death camps- They described witnessing Nazis killed out of survival, and rage and horror... but never for fun or enjoyment or even satisfaction.
A person that feels any positive emotion at killing a human being is sick... I agree sometimes killing is required for survival, and that some wars are required... but to get enjoyment in any way from killing is evil...
I remember hearing the cockpit recording of a air attack on the enemy... it starts out with juvenile giggling at finding the enemy... then wise cracks as they proceed to blow the hell out of the 'enemy' - accompanied by cheers as the explosions appeared as they bombed the enemy...
THEN I heard their reaction when they learned that they had just killed their own allies by 'friendly fire'... their voices showed the ainguish... and one made a comment along the lines of 'oh god we just killed people!'
The thing is they had killed people even if it wasnt 'friendly fire', but when they were 'the other side' they were just pixels on a screen- only when they were 'one of ours' did the fact that they were human register...
When I was a kid going to a hick school in Oklahoma I overheard a couple of guys on the bus talking about how they shot a possom in their yard... it was raiding their trash... however the first shot just immobilized it... it was alive and struggling... instead of putting it out of it misery they retold with glee how they tortured it... making a point of explaining in detail how they shot off the poor creatures genetalia while it twitched and tried to get away....
YOU might find this as sick and disgusting as it is, and MAYBE think about why you seem to think its ok to kill and torture human beings that never even knocked over your trash can... or you can blindly cheer and treat body counts like a football score... But if you did to your raccons that harass you what we do to humans in Iraq you would go to jail... AND most those we have tortured and killed (including children) never did a thing to harm us....
:) but I guess raccons are cute and humans that have different clothing are just evil and not quite as cute...

Tom, do you REALLY think you would want to know someone that found killing another person 'fun', 'enjoyable', or even 'satisfying'?
