Not everything is about politics.
The first incident, I could write off to mistaken intent (which could be purely innocent on both sides), misplaced anger (is the woman frequently victimized by someone else she knows?), or the "lunacy" or "greed" angles already mentioned.
Or he could actually have done the thing he's accused of. I wouldn't even entertain that last thought, except that someone else has come forward, from long ago, with nothing to gain.
Cosby is a wealthy and powerful man, and he's in show business, the fantasy industry. Sometimes it causes people to make errors in judgment. I believe everything they say about Arnold's early recreational pawings. It's a known fact that Martin Luther King Jr. philandered. Maybe Cosby took one liberty too many. It could happen. It doesn't make him an evil man, or devaluate his other work, any more than it does with Schwarzenegger or King.
Can it be that, because the Right was so intent on using sexual misconduct for political purposes with Bill Clinton, they can't see sexual misconduct, accused or actual, in any other context?
Sometimes people just act this way because they do. The courts will sort it out.

- Any thoughts about this news surrounding Bill Cosby?
- I think we need to re-establish statutes of limitation for stuff like this.
- It reminds me of an old lawyer story.
- I am not so sure.
- At the risk of giving this more time than it deserves...
- The statute of limitations should apply in all cases...Even murder.
- I don't agree on murder.
- Every single one of us is at risk of being accused of something we never did yesterday.
