Even you can't ignore the progress that has been made, not only in Iraq but elsewhere.
Wrong. Yes he can and will ignore all progress. He has so far. What will make him change his mind? Facts? Don't be silly. Leftists do not use facts, only ideology.
No war in human history was planned step by step beforehand.
"No battle plan survives contact with the enemy." -- Von Clausewitz
Somehow, I must have missed Roosevelt declaring that we would have a certain number of battles in a certain number of places in WWII, and that the war was scheduled to be won in 1945.
You did miss it. It was published in the Weely World News. Gotcha!
I am still incredulous that people are getting away with this "where was the plan?" crap.
We should have been far more aggressive just after the fall of the Saddam Government in rounding up and jailing the ENTIRE Ba'athist Party and the ENTIRE security apparatus. Of course, had we done so, the Left would have accused us of violating their rights. But we really should have stomped hard on them as soon as possible before they could organize. Our mistake was that we tried to be "nice" to people who did not deserve it.
It is coming on to just two years now, and the most powerful dictatorship in the Middle East has just had elections for the first time, never mind the economic and other progress.
But the elections were not perfect, so they don't count in the Far Left scorebook. Never mind that the Sunnis, who sat out the election are in on the building of the new government.
Not sure what example you're using to compare this to when talking about "dragging it out."
The examples he uses are from comic books.
CIA?? Frankly, you're getting less connected to reality than even some of the DemocraticUnderground folks, and that's saying a lot.
