The source of the information was indeed noted, but that really wasn't the point I was making.
You learn a lot about motivations by what, out of all the information that is available, a person chooses to paste to a flag and wave around.
For example, I tend to leap on good news from Iraq and elsewhere because I find it encouraging, because I am hoping for a good outcome--however uncertain it still may be--and because I want our side to win.
