Unfortunately, it NEVER works to the advantage of the little guy.
Admittedly, the source of the problem is the gross exploitation of the masses by the wealthy few. This creates, rather naturally, great resentment.
But, when a demagogue takes power "in the name of the masses" he INVARIABLY simply replaces the old exploitation with new exploitation. The masses ALWAYS suffer worse under such a demagogue than they did under the aristocracy that the demogogue replaced.
In short, they go from the frying pan into the fire.
If the aristocrats would look ahead and see that, by giving the lower classes decent salaries, etc, they would keep their privileged positions safe, it would solve the entire problem. Unfortuantely, these idiotic aristocrats are thinking only about today, never tomorrow.
