re: Please elaborate.

People in politics, cultural centers, and our institutes of higher education have spent a lot of time since the 1960s convincing people that we are in serious trouble, that the future is dark, that humanity is inherently unworthy, and that relying on better and wiser people to make the decisions is the only answer.

Political power is gained when people are unhappy with the status quo. If everyone in America was healthy, happy and prosperous, what the hell would they need government programs for? Race problems, class warfare, envy, and the perception on the part of citizens that they are being screwed somehow, play right into this.

Try a small thought experiment on one aspect of this, environmentalism.

Have you ever seen a typical environmentalist with anything other than a negative outlook toward the future?

And the second part: have you ever, EVER heard an environmentalist propose a solution for these myriad problems that did NOT involve a massive increase in centralized authority, and the loss of rights and choices for individuals?
