It's outstanding

My son is watching it now. There are two very nice short cartoons in the second DVD, ("Boundin" and "Jack Jack Attack"). "Boundin" is almost a perfect short cartoon. "Jack Jack Attack" is a very funny cartoon but has a seriously flawed ending where they erase the babysitter's memory. At first glance it looked like she was treacherously executed by electric shock. Totally inappropriate for small children. Pixar dropped the ball on that one.

The "Incredibles" itself is excellent. I liked the James Bond theme music and secret hideout used by the villans (who resembles the movie's director). Those helicopter / flying saucers that the villan's henchmen flew around in are very cool. Unfortunately the gimballing in it was half assed (something they can get away with in a cartoon). It might be possible to build something like that if the turbine blades were running in a circular race track driven by hydraulics. The mass of the APU for the hydraulics along with the forgings for the gimbal and racetrack would probably make the thng too heavy to fly.

A fun trivia treat: Run the the DVD to where the hero stamps "rejected" on the nice old lady's insurance claim form. Pause the DVD there and read the form. The form is actually a document from "Monsters, Inc."

I will definitely buy this DVD when the used rentals are for sale at the Blockbuster.
