Why don't you try some intellectual honesty in your pondering?

It depends on what you think is true.

If it is the case that TS is an entity capable of feeling discomfort or pain and capable of wanting to not suffer, then depriving food and water is criel.

If it is the case that TS is not capable of feeling discomfort in any real sense, and has no will or wanting, then depriving food and water and letting nature take its course is probably the moost compassionate thing to do.

The finding of facts, that you so righteously ignore in your neo-consevative imperialistic dismissal of the husbands rights, patient rights and due process indicate beyond a shadow of a doubt that TS is indeed in a persistant irreversible vegetative state.

The parents have propagated a myth that TS is 'merely disabled'. They have allowed themselves to be fooled by the type of coma that TS is in. It is a Coma that is not all that uncommon- an agitated or reactive coma. When you blow on her face, she smiles. When you tickle her cheek, she opens her mouth. When you stroke or pat her hand, it constricts as if she is holding something.

So they dressed TS up and put on makeup, and then display the meat-puppet of their sick fantasy to assholes looking for a rage fix (the right wing nuts out there). They see what appears to be someone moving around, dressed up, ready to go out and start a new life if only the evil courts and the evil husband would step aside.

But the fact is that TS brain is so massively impaired, that her cereberal cortex shows up on MRIs as a sack of fluid. She is a brain stem. over a dozen judges have been advised this very fact by hundreds of medical experts in over 30 hearings.

But you and your righteous right wing nutjobs know better, right?
