I'm sure you can dig it up

"'I'd like to find the transcripts of the Schaivo's testimony about Terri's "wishes". I'd like to know what Greer found "clear and convincing" about it."

Okay, and when you find it post it back here. I'd love to see it and discuss it- Just as long as we are not going to start impugning Greers veracity while we're at it (as is often done). Courts do not just decide things arbitrarily- and if they do those decisions are easily over-turned on appeal. If Greers decision has stoof through the MANY MANY appeals, then I see no reason why it shouldn't be given the benefit of the doubt. Courts are not perfect, but when they fail, its often in the direction of NOT finding things true and NOT establishing fact. Its a bias written into our very constitution and our legal system.

Believe it or not, I am open to your point of view. I have to admit a strong bias, comming from a very close family.

I'm sure you don't mean to imply that those who are 'anti tube' were not from a very strong Family. My Family has been through tough times the last 20 years, and whats left living of it is as thick as cold molassas... But that DOESN'T make me inclined to buy the Schindlers fantasy, nor expect MS to pander to it beyond HIS rights and his percieved responsibilities.

I would have given custody to the Schindlers. I see no harm if they wanted to care for a vegetable-unless it actually was Terri's wish to die.

I probably would have done the same and moved on as best I could. But MS chose differently, and not only was he in his legal rights to make that choice, it seems like he is being a very loyal and ethical person spending 10 years of his life fighting for what he thinks Terri would have wanted. I believe I would have made different choices by the very nature of who I am (but as I reiterated to Tom over and over again- none of us can understand or predict what we would do in the face of a tragedy that massive). But that doesn't mean that I must stand in judgement of MS or slander him, as is often done out there.
