I still like my idea for a pleated rocket nozzle.

An adjustable nozzle built along the lines of the exhaust nozzles on the F-15 and F-16 fighters. Then the geometry could be altered to maximize effiency at different altitudes. Such a system could improve our launchers significantly. It would only have to be robust enough for one use.
