You may well be right- hell you probably are since this is far more your area of expertice than it is mine- I just remember stripping the titanium foil buildup off my Titanium sublimation pump and striking a spark into it and watching it burn in a white hot glare...

Of course the bulk material would be harder to ignite than a thin foil...

Just raising a point...
