This IS NOT funny at all. This is quite serious, it is about whether our schools teach the facts or they become religious pawns.

The religious fundamentalists have made it clear that they are after power and that they are taking the offensive in a cultural war. THEY HAVE SAID AS MUCH OPENLY!

I went to a school that let teachers go if they discussed evolution, and kept teachers that answered difficult queastions with "Its god's will". I heard a school employee explain that 'we' were decended from Adam and Eve, it was just the blacks that were decended from monkeys.

That was two decades ago and the fundamentalists have GAINED power in my home state- They elected a guy that openly advocated the death penalty for abortionists, and claimed that the schools were being used to turn our daughters into lesbians (Now that would be an interesting class to sit in on!).

The fundamentalists are after more power and more influence in our lives. There is a cultural war being fought- you can pick your sides, but only a fool would deny that there is a real threat....

I have no problem with the devout, but I DO have a real problem when they try to make their fairy tales law....
