Think of it this way, TB: It's just like voter supression in reverse, except...
1) It expands the franchise, not restricts it.
2) It's legal AND constitutional.
3) It's bipartisan. Half the Gang of Eight realizes the GOP will not soon win another national election as long as they keep pissing off Latinos. The GOP needs those votes too.
4) The Tea Party in the House can always shoot it down, ensuring the Latinos will stay pissed off and the GOP will never win another national election.
BTW, your map came through OK, but the first figure in your post was "red-x'd" and did not display. Also, have you noticed that there are a lot of red states, but with the exception of TX, not too many Americans actually live there?
