Didn't have time or ambition to recrunch the numbers to use percentage instead of the deceptive absolute numbers, but I find it striking how the patterning of the population numbers map is such a close match for the patterning of the (asserted) illegal numbers. Sure the proportion is greater in places like California, Arizona, and Florida, and the "illegals" map also shows a distinct south-to-north tapering-off, but overall I'd say that proportions of alleged illegals are pretty uniform.
All the map really shows, Tom, is the well-known fact that Democratic support is concentrated in major urban areas in populous states, and Republicans are the rural party. Once again, no conspiracy theory is necessary to explain the simple facts.
