The US miltary invaded Iraq because Bush ordered them to do this.
I'm not sure how it exactly works in Britian.

"And when, BEFORE the Invaision, was this reason given by Bush or Blair."

Not exactly, but Bush did warn Saddam that this was going to happen within a relatively short period time. Which I thought was awfully sporty of him.
I think Blair said something similar.
