Would be a great local for vampire stories because the Sun is always hidden.
Did you see the modelling done for a tide-locked Earth around the Sun at its AGB maximum? Molten rock on one side and frozen atmosphere on the far-side with weird metal rain ringing the terminator and a melt sea at the foot of the glaciers.
