Simple. I support GW to the degree that I do first because I believe that he has the only credible response to the civilization threat from Islamic terrorism. The major issue. Secondly, in my view he is much better on tax and economic issues than let's say the alternatives of John Kerry & Ted Kennedy, folks I unfortunately know well. I favor the basic gist of GW's tax and social security proposals. Yes, as I have posted numerous times, he is madenly irresponsible on the spending side. Finally, I know that on the less important social issues where I disagree with GW or am neutral, (the Schialvo fiasco, pandering to religious conservatives, whining over gay marriage, etc.) the torch is well carried by the opposition.
