Context
The picture obviously illustrates how the gravitational pull of hypothetical planets or dark stars could affect the paths of the space probes.
Using this illustration as any kind of proof would be the equivalent of taking a science paper describing a proposed Mars organic life detection instrument, and pointing to a line illustration of the instrument showing a black dot in the sample canister labeled "anaerobic life forms" and claiming this is proof there is life on Mars.
