It will only marginalize them. Bush can then use recess appointments to put true right wing extreemists on the court!
I'd love to see an appointee that went before the Senate Judicial Committee with a real axe to grind. Someone who approached to confirmation hearings as if he wanted a knock-down-drag-out fight. Would the Senators duck for cover or would they dig in their heals and try to rip the nominee to shreds?
Isn't Hillary Clinton on the Judicial Committee? Where is she? We haven't seen or heard from her much lately. Is she already ducking for cover?
