Flame » in reply to Why the Right really hates Obama

CM appeared a bit foolish to me...

I don't hate B.O. He hasn't done enough to earn my hate. It's a wonder he isn't hated more by the left for failing to do many of the things he promised to do.

Chris goes on and on about how clean B.O. is, as if the only legitimate reason to dislike a president is because he cheats on his wife or fails to pay his taxes. He hardly mentioned his job performance, beyond killing OBL.

Right or wrong, B.O.'s popularity is directly affected by the perception of how he is governing the nation. I am sure that some racism creeps in as a result of his perceived poor performance, but initially, the election of a black potus was the most popular thing about his being elected among all but the hard core racists who are here, there, and everywhere in this country.

I see all the right wing complaints about how he is destroying the country and some of it gets my attention but the fact is 6 years into his presidency, I can hardly tell a difference in the Bush years and the B.O. years. That will probably change in the final 2 years and we will see how that works out.

Finally, the South is Red and B.O. is not popular in our hot, humid climate. I doubt, however, that B.O. is well thought of in any Red State
