...FEMA had days in advance to mobilize resources and to have them placed and ready for deployment. They didn't do this. They waited to see what would happen first. Its a terrific failure in judgement.
And as for our Commander-in-Chief, with more than a million citizens of the republic at risk, he should have canceled his vacation, returned to the White House and engaged his Homeland Security team in making preparations for the arrival of Katrina. Instead he played golf in Arizona.
