Was the cover of People magazine, which rightly displayed the Katrina disaster but over in the right column showed Robert Downey Jr. getting married and Jessica Simpson having just a dandy good time at the VMA Awards.
It didn't help to see a photo inside of an elderly woman sitting next to the covered body of her husband who had lung cancer and died when they ran out of oxygen for him.
The disparity is sickening. Gosh, I hope Jessica and the other vapid "celebrities" didn't have to suffer too much with all that annoying news and those depressing pictures on the television - if they even know what's going on.
So many wonderful people in the world - like the 71-year-old who used his own boat to rescue people off their rooftops and when the gas ran out on his boat, he kept throwing the anchor to pull himself towards victims - and it's the empty-headed plastic people who get all the notice.
